CM Sarfraz Bugti vows to resolve 'Missing Persons' issue with state support

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has announced a decisive plan to resolve the longstanding issue of missing persons in the province, promising that the matter will be addressed once and for all with the full backing of state institutions.

Furthermore, CM Bugti focused on the state’s commitment to uphold the rule of law and bring an end to decades of confusion surrounding the term “missing persons,” a narrative that has been widely misused by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

“The group has exploited the issue of missing persons to defame Pakistan, mislead international media, and continue their anti-state operations under the guise of human rights,” said Bugti. “We will not allow criminal and terrorist elements to manipulate public sentiment anymore.”

CM Bugti stated that a comprehensive and transparent mechanism is being developed, with the assistance of all state institutions, including security agencies, the judiciary, and human rights bodies, to verify genuine cases and differentiate them from propaganda-fueled narratives propagated by separatist groups.
