NEW YORK: The UN Security Council strongly condemned Indian’s sponsored terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, calling it a “heinous and cowardly” act and urged that the attackers be brought to justice.
The Council said the attack killed at least six Pakistani nationals, including four schoolchildren. Fifty-three others were injured, most of them children.
Council members offered deep condolences to the victims’ families, the Government of Pakistan, and its people. They wished a full and speedy recovery for the injured.
The Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all forms is a major threat to global peace and security. They stressed the need to hold those responsible, including planners, funders, and supporters, accountable.
They urged all countries to support Pakistan’s efforts in this matter.
The Council declared that terrorism is always criminal and unjustifiable, no matter the motive or who commits it.

They also reaffirmed the duty of all nations to fight terrorism by all legal means. This includes respecting the UN Charter and international laws on human rights, refugees, and humanitarian issues.
