The Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in several parts of the country, indicating a shift in weather conditions, particularly in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Peshawar is expected to experience hot and dry weather today, with temperatures likely to reach up to 38 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in the city has been recorded at 32 percent, contributing to the prevailing warm conditions.
The weather is anticipated to remain partly cloudy. However, conditions are expected to vary significantly in the upper areas of the province. The department has predicted rainfall with gusty winds and thunderstorms in regions including Dir, Chitral, Swat, and Malam Jabba.
These areas may experience intermittent showers, which could provide temporary relief from rising temperatures.
Similarly, scattered rainfall is expected at isolated locations in Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Bajaur. Weather experts advise residents in these regions to remain cautious, particularly during periods of strong winds and lightning activity.
In other parts of the province, including Khyber, Kohat, Parachinar, and Waziristan, thunderstorms with rain are also likely. Meanwhile, Bannu and Kurram may witness gusty winds accompanied by light to moderate rainfall at a few places.
The Meteorological Department continues to monitor the evolving weather patterns and will issue further updates as necessary. Citizens are encouraged to follow official advisories and plan their activities accordingly to ensure safety during the changing weather conditions.
