Security Forces Kill Khawarij Who Kidnapped Policemen in Kurram, Display Bodies

KURRAM: Federal Constabulary (FC) Special Operations Group has rescued policemen held hostage by militants associated with Fitna al Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said.

The security forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence about the location where the militants had detained the kidnapped policemen.

The FC Special Operations Group moved against the militants and secured the safe recovery of the hostage policemen. As a result of the operation, four militants who had taken shelter inside a mosque were killed.

Security forces later displayed the militants’ bodies outside the mosque where they had been sheltering.

The operation marks a forceful response by Pakistani security forces to militants who target law-enforcement personnel and take them hostage.

Authorities have not released further details about the identities of the militants.
