PANJGUR: At least two people, including a woman, were injured when unknown motorcycle-riding assailants opened fire in the Gurmakan area of Panjgur district on Friday, police officials said.
According to police sources, the victims were identified as Mustafa, son of Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of Gurmakan, and a woman named Masana Meem. The attackers, who remain unidentified, fired multiple rounds at the victims before fleeing the scene on motorcycles.
Police personnel reached the site shortly after the incident and shifted the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Both victims are reported to be under observation, though their current condition has not been officially disclosed.
Law enforcement authorities have registered a case against the unknown assailants and have launched an investigation into the matter. Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting search operations to trace the perpetrators.
