LAKKI MARWAT: Two terrorists were killed and one was arrested in an injured condition during an intelligence-based operation by law enforcement agencies in the Kechi Kummar area of the Dadiwala police station jurisdiction.
According to official sources, the police, in coordination with the Police Peace Committee, conducted the operation based on a tip-off about militant activity in the region. Security forces utilized a quadcopter to attack the terrorists’ hideout, followed by heavy direct fire.
The bodies of the slain militants were shifted to a nearby hospital for necessary legal and medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, security forces have launched a cordon-and-search operation to track down and arrest other accomplices who managed to flee the scene.
This operation comes just days after a major blast rocked Phatak Chowk in the Lakki Marwat district during daylight hours. That attack resulted in the martyrdom of 11 people and left 35 others in jured.
