Pakistan Enforces Transit of Goods Order 2026

GWADAR: The government has officially implemented the Transit of Goods Order 2026, allowing the transportation of goods through Pakistan to Iran.

New transit routes have been formally announced, and a notification has also been issued.

According to the notification, the Gwadar, Karachi, and Taftan routes have been designated for transit trade.

Goods coming from a third country and destined for Iran will now be allowed to pass through Pakistan.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Gwadar Port has also been granted commercial status for trade purposes.

Financial guarantees have been made mandatory for transit cargo, while customs procedures will be applied under FBR regulations.

Specific trade corridors have also been assigned for transit trade, and the new order has come into effect immediately.
