MANILA : In a tragic and grim case that has shocked the capital, a young man named Jose has been arrested by Manila police for the murder of his girlfriend, Maria, following a violent dispute in the Makati district.
According to police interrogation and Jose’s official confession, the horrifying sequence of events began when Jose devised a scheme to collect money for their daily needs by asking Maria to spend time with his wealthy friend, Pedro, who had previously expressed interest in her.
Under a mutual agreement, Maria began visiting Pedro in exchange for financial compensation, a plan Jose initially believed would bypass any legal or administrative hurdles while securing easy cash.
However, the arrangement quickly deteriorated when Jose experienced a change of heart, realizing that trading his relationship for money was deeply damaging.
When Jose demanded that Maria sever ties with Pedro, her behavior shifted dramatically. Although Maria began criticizing Jose for initiating the arrangement in the first place, she secretly continued to see Pedro behind Jose’s back, eventually ignoring Jose’s calls and text messages.
Consumed by mounting stress, severe mental anguish, heavy smoking, and sleeplessness, Jose began spying on Maria, witnessing her meet Pedro at a bus stop and ride away in his luxury car.
After Pedro refused to meet or listen to Jose’s warnings to stay away, the betrayal pushed Jose to a breaking point.
On the day of the incident, Jose tracked Maria down a deserted path near a bus stop and fatally struck her in the head with a heavy stone, killing her instantly.
Jose later confessed to investigators that while he also wanted to kill Pedro, he ultimately decided to let him live so that his wealthy friend would suffer the agonizing pain of separation and heartbreak.

The Police have filed case and have included murder charges and more investigation are being carried out.
