Three laborers were killed after unidentified attackers opened fire in the Jiyani police station area of Nasirabad, Balochistan. The incident has raised fresh concerns over the security situation in the province, where militant attacks have continued to pose a challenge to law enforcement and civilians.
The victims were working in the area when they came under attack. The assailants opened fire and then escaped from the scene before security personnel could apprehend them.
The attackers managed to flee following the shooting. The search operation was expected to be launched in the surrounding area to trace those responsible for the killings.
The latest incident comes amid continuing security challenges in Balochistan, where the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have carried out attacks against civilians, security personnel and other targets in recent years.
