Talal Chaudhry Dismisses PTI Propaganda About Imran Khan’s Health

Talal Chaudhry Urges Caution Over Rumors of Imran Khan's Hospital Visit

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has strongly dismissed what he termed “misleading propaganda” regarding the health of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserting that the reports are contrary to facts and that the political leader’s eye has not been lost.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the Minister urged the public not to be misled by false claims. “Do not try to throw dust in the eyes of the nation,” he said.

Chaudhry detailed that a medical board comprising expert doctors regularly examines the PTI founder and that all treatment is being carried out in strict accordance with international medical principles. He clarified that following treatment at PIMS Hospital, the founder’s vision was recorded as “six by six.”

The Minister of State for Interior further noted that the Supreme Court has expressed satisfaction over a comprehensive report submitted by the jail superintendent regarding the prisoner’s health and medical facilities.

In a sharp critique of the PTI’s political tactics, Talal Chaudhry remarked that hardly any prisoner in the history of Pakistan has been provided with such extensive facilities. He accused the opposition of attempting to play a “sympathy card” after the failure of their politics of protest, arson, and chaos.

“The eye has not been lost, do not try to throw dust in the eyes of the nation,” he reiterated.
