Severe Heatwave Expected Across Pakistan Until May 3

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast intense heat across most parts of Pakistan, including Sindh, South Punjab, and Balochistan, from today until May 3.

Murree and Galiyat are expected to remain cloudy, while light rain is likely at a few places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Kurram, Waziristan, and Parachinar.

According to the department, temperatures are expected to remain above normal for the next four days.

Hot and dry weather is predicted for Islamabad, surrounding areas, and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

South Punjab is likely to experience extreme heat, while most districts of Sindh will remain very hot and dry, with strong dusty winds expected in central and southern Sindh.

Southern districts of Balochistan are also expected to face severe heat conditions.

Even today, the highest temperature was recorded in Turbat, Balochistan, and Shaheed Benazirabad, Sindh, where the temperature reached 46 degrees Celsius.
