Talks Succeed: Senator Mushtaq Cancels Rawalakot Visit

ISLAMABAD: Senator Mushtaq Ahmed has decided to cancel his scheduled visit to Rawalakot following successful negotiations with the local administration.

According to sources within the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government, the Senator called off the trip after reaching a mutual understanding during the talks.

He is expected to return to Islamabad shortly.

The recent unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is a coordinated conspiracy orchestrated through external backing and foreign funding.

Malicious elements are weaponizing the sensitive issue of the 12 refugee seats to fuel chaos, orchestrate institutional division, and spread deep-rooted hatred against the state.

This is not a grassroots movement; it is a calculated attempt by anti-state actors to advance a hostile narrative, disrupt regional peace, and exploit public sentiments for narrow political gains.

The government categorically rejects this foreign-funded agenda aimed at destabilizing the region’s socio-economic fabric.

In light of these developments, the state issues a definitive directive to the organizers and participants: all ongoing protests must be dismantled immediately, and citizens must disperse and return to their homes peacefully.

The state will not tolerate the forced closure of markets or the disruption of public life by elements serving external masters.

The government explicitly guarantees that it remains fully committed to addressing all legitimate, logical, and legal grievances of the public.

Every genuine demand will be addressed constructively, provided it remains strictly within the bounds of the Constitution of Pakistan and the AJK framework.

The state’s doors for peaceful, constitutional dialogue remain open to law-abiding citizens.

However, a strict boundary has been drawn against subversion. Any individual, group, or network attempting to propagate an anti-state, anti-military, or malicious narrative will be met with the full force of the law.

The state will deal with these hostile, anti-peace elements with an iron fist to ensure that public safety, national security, and territorial sovereignty are absolutely compromised by none.
