PESHAWAR: Insaf Youth Wing KP says lack of NOC and concerns over possible arrests led to cancellation of September 23 convention. The Insaf Youth Wing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has cancelled its workers convention scheduled for September 23 in Peshawar, citing the absence of a no-objection certificate (NOC), legal hurdles and concerns over possible arrests, according to a statement by the organisation’s Peshawar chapter.
Peshawar district president Shahzaib said in an audio message that the decision was taken after consultations with the party’s central and provincial leadership. According to Shahzaib, the authorities had not issued the required NOC for the convention. He also cited concerns over possible legal obstacles and the potential arrest of provincial government officials as factors behind the decision.
Insaf Youth Wing Cancels Peshawar Workers Convention
The cancellation comes as the Insaf Youth Wing KP continues preparations for political activities linked to September 27. The organisation had earlier announced a schedule of youth conventions across several districts, including a Peshawar convention on September 23.
Following the cancellation, office-bearers have been instructed to continue organisational activities at the tehsil level.
Shahzaib said officials had been directed to organise campaigns in local markets, motorcycle rallies and conventions within their respective tehsils.
The youth wing has also instructed its office-bearers to mobilise workers in their respective areas ahead of the September 27 political activity.
Shahzaib said the Peshawar convention was cancelled after consultations with the central and provincial leadership, but organisational activities would continue at the local level.
