Brighter Horizons: Gwadar’s Economic Growth and AI-Driven Future

QUETTA :  Governor Balochistan has expressed immense optimism regarding the bright future of Pakistan and Balochistan, stating that the development and operationalization of the Gwadar Port will pioneer a silent economic revolution.

Speaking of Gwadar as a vital gateway, he emphasized that it will transform Pakistan into a global hub for economic and commercial activities.

Spanning from Central Asia to South Asia and across the Middle East, Pakistan possesses the unique potential to serve as a bridge connecting regional markets, cultures, and industries.

Governor Mandokhail highlighted that this political and economic vision transcends mere physical infrastructure; it represents a calculated strategic move toward regional economic integration and sustainable development.

These remarks were made during a high-level meeting in Karachi with the Acting Consul General of China, Mr. Feng Deheng. Political Directors Mr. Zhang Song and Mr. Wang Zhaoxiang were also in attendance.

Reflecting on the historic ties between the two nations, Governor Mandokhail noted that Pakistan and China have officially celebrated the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

This enduring partnership stands as a testament to a time-tested friendship built on mutual trust, shared development, and resilience through regional challenges.

Turning his focus to human capital, the Governor urged collaboration in advanced technology, noting China’s vast expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He proposed leveraging this excellence to mentor and uplift the youth of Balochistan.

Through partnerships with public sector universities, scholarships, and new academic avenues, China can help equip Pakistani students with modern, world-class skills tailored to today’s global demands.

Acknowledging Pakistan’s growing geopolitical influence, the Chinese Acting Consul General, Mr. Feng Deheng, lauded Pakistan’s recent diplomatic triumph in bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table after nearly half a century.

He remarked that this historic feat has significantly elevated Pakistan’s stature on the global stage and written a new chapter in international diplomacy.

Mr. Deheng reaffirmed China’s keen interest in investing heavily across Balochistan—stretching from Gwadar to Zhob—to fortify its infrastructure, stimulate robust economic activity, and sustainably elevate the living standards of the local population.

Governor Mandokhail extended his gratitude to the Chinese government and its people, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening people-to-people connections.
