PANJGUR : Security forces have killed five terrorists and injured several others during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Killi Suran area of Panjgur district, according to official sources.
The operation was launched on precise intelligence reports regarding the presence of a militant hideout in the remote locality. Troops swiftly encircled the area and engaged the terrorists in a heavy exchange of fire, which resulted in the elimination of five militants, while a number of others sustained injuries.
Security forces also recovered a substantial cache of heavy weapons and a large quantity of ammunition from the possession of the neutralized terrorists, sources confirmed. The recovered arms included automatic rifles, grenades, and explosive materials intended for use in subversive activities.
A clearance operation is currently underway in the vicinity to ensure no other militants remain hidden in the area. Local authorities have praised the security forces for the successful strike, which dealt a significant blow to terrorist networks operating in the region.
Security officials have reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorist elements from Balochistan and vowed to continue such operations until lasting peace is restored.
