DOHA: In a significant diplomatic development, Qatar has officially announced its full support for a Pakistani-led mediation initiative aimed at defusing tensions between the United States and Iran.
The announcement was made by Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his weekly media briefing.
Dr. Al-Ansari stated that Qatar is actively working within the mediation team to assist and strengthen the strategic efforts of its partners in Pakistan.

Extending high praise to Islamabad’s diplomatic leadership, the Qatari spokesperson commended the vital role Pakistan has played in navigating the complex negotiations to reach the current stage.
He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to lead from the front as the primary mediator between Washington and Tehran moving forward.
Dr. Al-Ansari further reiterated that Qatar takes its responsibility toward safeguarding regional security with the utmost seriousness and will continue to collaborate closely with Pakistan to ensure long-term stability in the region.
