ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid a warm congratulations to US President Donald Trump and the people of the United States on the occasion of the country’s 250th Independence Day.
The prime minister said Pakistan joins the United States in celebrating its enduring democratic values and national achievements. He noted that the relationship between Pakistan and the United States spans more than seven decades, indicating a strong and resilient partnership based on mutual interests and cooperation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the valuable role played by the Pakistani-American community in further increasing bilateral ties.
He said the community has served as an important bridge between the two countries by promoting closer people-to-people relations and contributing to stronger cooperation across various sectors.
The prime minister focused on that Pakistan and the United States have stood together in addressing several global peace and security challenges over the years.
He said continued cooperation between the two countries remains important in promoting regional stability, international peace, and shared prosperity.
In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged President Donald Trump’s role in promoting peace in South Asia. He said the president’s efforts helped prevent a potentially devastating conflict, which, according to the prime minister, contributed to saving millions of lives.
He added that President Trump’s initiatives aimed at resolving international conflicts are commendable and reflect a commitment to global peace and stability.
The prime minister further stated that Pakistan views its relationship with the United States as an important pillar of its foreign policy and remains committed to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
He expressed confidence that both countries are moving toward a brighter and more promising future built on mutual respect, constructive engagement, and shared goals.
