Petition Challenges Ali Amin Gandapur’s Resignation

ISLAMABAD: A formal constitutional petition has been submitted to the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan challenging the resignation of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

The petition, filed through legal counsels Sher Afzal Khan Marwat (ASC) and Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed (AOR), requests the court to declare the resignation null and void.

According to the submitted documents and court index, the petitioner maintains that the resignation of the former Chief Minister was executed under unconstitutional parameters and external pressure.

The legal documentation presented to the court includes copies of the disputed official notifications from October 2025, relevant Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) gazette notifications, media transcripts, and copies of the handwritten resignation letter dated October 8, 2025. The court has been requested to review the circumstances surrounding the exit of the former Chief Minister and restore the legal constitutional position regarding the leadership of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
