ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has already been electronically signed by the parties, has entered into force, and is now under implementation.
Once the political breakthrough was secured at the highest level, a ceremonial visit became less urgent than ensuring disciplined follow-through.
Pakistan’s role was to deliver an agreed framework, de-escalate the crisis, and create a structured path for implementation. That objective has been achieved.
The next phase will move into separate technical-level tracks covering sanctions relief, maritime security, nuclear-related measures, verification, sequencing, and regional assurances.
This shows that Islamabad did not merely host optics, it shaped a frame work that now requires expert-level work.
The message should remain that the visit was postponed because diplomacy worked, the agreement is alive, and Pakistan remains central to its implementation.
