Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft Until Aug 24

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian aircraft using its airspace for another month, with the restrictions now remaining in force until Aug. 24, 2026, authorities said on Saturday.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) issued a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) after receiving government approval.

Under the NOTAM, aircraft registered in India or operated, owned or leased by Indian entities will not be allowed to use Pakistani airspace during the extended period.

The restrictions will remain effective until Aug. 24, 2026, with Pakistani airspace continuing to stay closed to all Indian aircraft.

Pakistan first imposed the airspace restrictions on April 23, 2025, amid heightened tensions with India. The measure has since been extended several times.
