ISLAMABAD: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, held an interactive session with students participating in the ISPR Summer Internship 2026, discussing national security, terrorism, misinformation, and the responsible use of social media.

According to ISPR, more than 6,000 students from across Pakistan are taking part in the ISPR Internship 2026 programme being conducted at 21 different stations nationwide.

During the special session, the DG ISPR answered participants’ questions in detail, addressing a wide range of issues related to national security, regional developments, and the information environment.

Participants said the session provided valuable guidance on identifying and countering misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and unverified news, enabling the students of the ISPR Summer Internship 2026 to better understand the importance of responsible information sharing in the digital age.

The students described the discussion as comprehensive and informative, saying it helped clear misconceptions and remove ambiguities surrounding Pakistan’s national security challenges.

According to the participants, the DG ISPR also gave a detailed briefing on the situation in Azad Kashmir, India’s propaganda campaign, and Pakistan’s position on the issue, helping them better understand the realities on the ground.

They further said the factual briefing on Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij addressed prevailing misconceptions and provided greater clarity regarding the state’s perspective on the two militant threats.
