QUETTA: Pakistan’s security forces killed two terrorists associated with Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Ziarat-Garrani area, officials said on Saturday.
The operation was conducted on May 9, around 10 kilometres from Kalat, after security agencies received credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to Fitna Al Hindustan, according to official sources.
Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and engaged the suspects during the operation, killing two militants.
Officials said troops also recovered and safely defused two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted along the route.
A large cache of weapons, explosives and ammunition was seized during the raid. The recovered material included 15 rounds of under-barrel grenade launcher ammunition, one RPG-7 launcher, 150 kilograms of explosives, three sacks of urea fertiliser, one submachine gun and one M16 rifle.
Officials said the operation highlighted the continued vigilance and operational readiness of Pakistan’s security forces in counterterrorism efforts across the region.
