ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has sought public assistance in locating his missing pet dog, which disappeared from the federal capital, prompting an emotional appeal on social media.
The legendary all-rounder took to his official social media accounts to report the disappearance, sharing his contact number and urging citizens to provide any information regarding the dog’s whereabouts. Afridi described the pet as a “family member” and revealed that the dog had been unwell over the past few days, adding to the family’s distress.
Afridi’s appeal has quickly gained traction online, with fans and followers sharing the post widely in hopes of reuniting the former captain with his beloved companion.
This incident comes just weeks after another cricket great faced a similar ordeal. In July, former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram’s pet dog had also gone missing but was fortunately recovered later.
