ISLAMABAD : National Assembly member Sher Afzal Marwat has revealed that the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued a strict message regarding his sister, Aleema Khan, which has led to her remaining out of the public eye over the past three days.
Speaking on a current affairs television program on Saturday, Marwat stated that during a meeting with Noreen Niazi, the PTI founder explicitly directed that Aleema Khan be kept away from street movement activities.
He raised questions regarding her active participation in protests, emphasizing that the party leadership has been instructed to keep her away from political matters entirely.
Furthermore, Marwat claimed that the PTI founder was unaware of recent developments surrounding judicial relief, questioning the rationale behind approaching the Supreme Court and whether any clandestine deals had been brokered.
According to Marwat, the party leader also questioned why comparisons or connections were being drawn between him and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
