PESHAWAR: Pakistani security forces destroyed several militant hideouts and killed multiple militants of the Fitna al Khawarij during a fresh intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said on Tuesday.
According to the sources, security forces continue to conduct intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision to dismantle militant networks.
During the latest operation in Lakki Marwat, troops destroyed several militant hideouts and neutralised multiple militants, the sources said.
Security personnel also recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition and other equipment from the slain militants.
Several other militants were reportedly wounded during the operation, according to the security sources.
The sources said the operation was carried out with measures in place to protect civilians and ensure no harm came to the local population.
Security forces, they added, will continue intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until lasting peace is restored and terrorism is eliminated from the province.
