Heatwave Bakes Sindh as Karachi Feels 44°C, Hyderabad Swelters at 47°C

KARACHI :  Extreme heat gripped various districts of Sindh on Monday, with temperatures soaring to 42 degrees Celsius in Karachi while the heat index made it feel as high as 44 degrees, according to meteorological reports.

 

Hyderabad recorded a felt temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, and Sukkur saw 45 degrees, leaving residents struggling to cope with the scorching conditions.

 

In response to the intense heatwave, authorities have set up heatwave camps in different areas of Karachi. Health experts have advised citizens not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to stay hydrated.

 

Meanwhile, weather remained moderate in other parts of the country. Lahore recorded 34 degrees Celsius, Islamabad 33 degrees, and Peshawar 29 degrees Celsius, offering some relief to residents there.

 

Citizens in Sindh have been urged to avoid direct sunlight and seek shade or air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
