Real-Feel Temperature Hits 68°C in Sibi

SIBI: A severe heatwave continues to grip various cities across the country, with the “real-feel” temperature (heat index) reaching exceptionally high levels.

According to the Meteorological Department, Sibi recorded the highest real-feel temperature at a scorching 68°C, while the perceived temperature hit 55°C in Sukkur and 51°C in Sargodha.

Other major cities are facing similarly oppressive conditions.

The real-feel temperature was recorded at 51°C in Lahore, 49°C in Bahawalpur, and 48°C in Hyderabad, Faisalabad, and Multan. Meanwhile, Karachi and Dera Ismail Khan both experienced a perceived temperature of 47°C, followed by Bhakkar at 46°C, Sialkot at 45°C, and Peshawar at 41°C.

In light of the intense weather, the Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take strict precautionary measures.

People are urged to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and to significantly increase their water intake to stay hydrated.
