KARACHI: Driven by an upward trend in the international market, domestic gold and silver prices recorded a notable increase today.
According to local jewelers, the price of 24-karat gold rose by 1,000 PKR per tola, bringing it to a new high of 492,362 PKR.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold surged by 858 PKR to settle at 422,121 PKR.
This domestic hike follows a 10 USD increase in the global bullion market, where gold reached 4,700 USD per ounce.
Reflecting the overall bullish sentiment, the local price of silver also experienced a jump of 65 PKR per tola, reaching 9,204 PKR.
