DALBANDIN : Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) dealt a major blow to illegal trade networks on Thursday, successfully foiling a significant smuggling attempt in the Dalbandin area.
According to official sources, the operation resulted in the seizure of a massive cache of contraband goods, including thread, fabric rolls, foreign-brand cigarettes, blade cartons, tires, and electric heaters. The confiscated items, estimated to be worth approximately PKR 252.6 million, were promptly handed over to Pakistan Customs authorities for legal proceedings and further investigation.
An FC spokesperson emphasized that smuggling remains a direct threat to Pakistan’s economic stability, fueling the black economy and causing substantial harm to legitimate trade. The successful operation underscores the security forces’ unwavering commitment to curbing illegal cross-border activities in the region.
“Every successful operation strengthens national security and protects the interests of lawful traders,” the spokesperson stated, reaffirming that FC Balochistan will continue its rigorous efforts to safeguard the country’s economic frontiers.
Authorities have initiated standard legal procedures against those involved, while further investigations are underway to dismantle the broader smuggling network operating in the area.
