MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Earthquake tremors were felt across various parts of the Punjab province. According to reports, tremors shook Mandi Bahauddin, Malakwal, and Phalia.
The shocks were severe enough to cause panic, forcing residents to rush out of their homes while reciting verses from the Holy Quran (Kalima Sharif).
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake recorded a magnitude of on the Richter scale.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Islamabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and some of the other areas in Punjab.
The depth of the quake was measured at , with its epicenter located southwest of Jhelum.
No immediate casualties or property damage have been reported, though the sudden tremors left citizens gripped by fear and anxiety.
