JHAL MAGSI: Two people, including a woman, lost their lives in what police suspect was a domestic dispute in the Jhal Magsi district on Thursday, authorities confirmed. The accused managed to flee the scene immediately after the attack and remains at large.
According to police sources, the tragic incident occurred in Mir Wah village, which falls within the jurisdictional limits of the local police station. Upon receiving information about the killings, a police team rushed to the location and took both bodies into custody. The remains were subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital for necessary medico-legal formalities, including post-mortem examinations.
Officials stated that after the completion of all required legal procedures, the bodies were handed over to the heirs of the deceased for burial. Meanwhile, investigators have begun scrutinizing all angles of the case to piece together the events that led to the double fatality.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the crime stemmed from an alleged domestic feud, though police have urged caution, emphasizing that the final facts will only be established once the probe is concluded. “At this stage, it appears to be a domestic dispute, but we are investigating all possibilities. The truth will come to light after a thorough inquiry,” a police official said.
As of the last reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the murders. Police teams have launched cordon-and-search operations at various locations across the district to track down the absconding suspect. Authorities have assured that all resources are being utilized to nab the fugitive and bring him to justice.
