PESHAWAR: CTD Eliminates Five Daesh Khorasan Terrorists in Peshawar Compound Operation during a precise intelligence-based raid near the Shamshatu Camp within the jurisdiction of the Armar police station.
According to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), the neutralized militants belonged to the proscribed outfit Daesh Khorasan and were actively plotting major terror attacks targeting sensitive state institutions, Imambargahs, and churches.
Among those killed were key commander Imran (also known as Abdullah / Abu Bakr), Bilal, and Abu Bakr, alongside the identified operative Shahidullah, son of Miraj, a resident of Upper Mohmand.
During the compound operation at the Kabul English Language Center, security forces recovered a substantial cache of arms and explosives, including an SMG, four pistols, two hand grenades, five magazines, a improvised explosive device (IED), and multiple rounds of ammunition.
Officials confirmed that the prime commander, Imran alias Abu Bakr, was a high-profile, wanted terrorist carrying a bounty of 12 million rupees on his head.
He was implicated in over 20 heinous terrorism cases across Islamabad and other districts, including the tragic targeted killings and martyrdom of Maulana Khanzeb, Senator Hidayatullah, and Rehanzeb.
Furthermore, investigations revealed that Imran alias Abu Bakr masterminded the February 6, 2026, suicide bombing at an Imambargah in Tarilai, Islamabad, having procured the suicide jacket from Bajaur and transported the bomber from Nowshera to the target site, while co-conspirator Shahidullah handled target reconnaissance.
