Commandant, DC Inaugurate Dev Projects in Sibi

SIBI:  Commandant Sibi Scouts, Colonel Munir Ahmed Sultan, along with Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Major (retd) Ilyas Kabzai, officially inaugurated several development projects and laid the foundation stone for a key water supply initiative under BSDI Phase II.

 

During the ceremony, the officials launched solarization projects at Government Boys Model High School Sibi, Government Girls High School Garibabad, its primary section, and Government Girls High School Azeem Khan Ghomar Mazai. Additionally, they inaugurated repair and rehabilitation work at the Midwifery College Hostel, provision of air conditioners for the PPHI Rehabilitation Office Building and Medicine Store, and the installation of tuff tiles on two streets along Loni Road. The foundation stone for the Thandi Sadak water supply line project was also laid.

 

The solarization of schools was completed by the UP&D department, while the tuff tiles installation was carried out under the Local Government. Repair and maintenance work, along with the installation of air conditioners, was executed by the B&R department.

 

Senior officials present included Wing Commanders Colonel Zubair and Colonel Shahryar, Assistant Commissioner Sibi Mansoor Ali Shah, Assistant Commissioner Bakhtiarabad Mir Bahadur Khan Bangulzai, and Executive Engineer UP&D Raziq Marri.

 

The event featured a student band salute and a shower of flower petals. Boys and girls welcomed the guests with flower bouquets. During their visit, Commandant Sibi Scouts and Deputy Commissioner Sibi inspected the medicine store at PPHI and checked the medicines. DMPPHI briefed them on medicine availability and quality, as well as the performance and facilities of Basic Health Units (BHUs) across the district.

 

The Deputy Commissioner and Commandant met with schoolgirls, advising them to work hard, remain dedicated, and be punctual. “For success, it is important to complete today’s work today and prepare tomorrow’s lesson in advance,” they said.

 

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Major (retd) Ilyas Kabzai stated that providing basic facilities to the education and health sectors is the top priority of the district administration. “Timely completion of development projects under BSDI Phase II is an important milestone, which will provide direct relief to the people,” he said. He warned that no negligence in the completion of public welfare projects would be tolerated, adding that all resources are being utilized.

 

He further noted that Sibi has become the first district in Balochistan where 28 schemes have been completed under BSDI Phase II, out of which seven projects were formally inaugurated today. “This success is the result of the district team’s joint efforts, coordinated strategy and effective supervision,” he added.

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, officials expressed their commitment to further expanding the scope of development projects to ensure education, health, water, and basic amenities for the people, with continued efforts to make Sibi district an exemplary district.
