QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that the provincial government is deploying all available resources to provide relief and essential assistance to families affected by the recent earthquake in Kingri tehsil of Musakhel district.
In a social media message, the chief minister acknowledged the hardships faced by affected families and assured them they would not be left alone during this difficult period. He confirmed that on his directives, the Relief Commissioner and the Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had visited the quake-hit areas, conducted a detailed damage assessment, and distributed relief goods among the affected families.
Bugti emphasized that immediate relief, rehabilitation, and provision of essential facilities to earthquake victims remain the provincial government’s top priority. He directed the district administration, PDMA, and other relevant institutions to further accelerate relief operations and ensure transparent, timely, and non-discriminatory distribution of assistance so that government support reaches every deserving family.
The chief minister also instructed all concerned departments to maintain continuous monitoring of the situation and ensure effective coordination of relief efforts in the affected areas. He said a comprehensive survey of losses would be completed soon, after which immediate steps would be taken to rehabilitate affected families.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment, Bugti stated that all possible assistance would continue for citizens affected by natural disasters. He added that relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction work in the earthquake-hit areas would be carried out on a priority basis to help restore normal life as quickly as possible.
