Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has emphasized that lasting peace in the province can only be achieved through close cooperation between the public, civil administration, and security forces.
Speaking at a tribal jirga in Awaran, attended by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Commander 12 Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Provincial Assembly member Khair Jan Baloch, tribal and political elders, community leaders, women, students, and local residents, the chief minister praised the positive role of tribal elders and the public in promoting peace, stability, and development.
Bugti paid tribute to the sacrifices made by both civilians and security forces in the fight against terrorism, reaffirming that public support remains essential for maintaining long-term peace across the province.
He said the provincial government is taking special measures to accelerate development in Awaran and across the Makran Division, with several projects progressing rapidly.
According to the chief minister, initiatives under the BSDI program have already brought noticeable improvements to the region.
Describing the people of Awaran as peace-loving, progressive, and aware, Bugti said they have consistently contributed to the area’s stability and development.
During the jirga, Provincial Assembly member Khair Jan Baloch and other participants commended the government’s and security forces’ efforts to improve law and order and advance ongoing development projects.
Tribal and political leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting state institutions in promoting national unity and regional progress.
