QUETTA: The sixth All-Pakistan Chief Minister Balochistan Football Gold Cup kicked off at Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta, with 81 teams from across the country taking part in the tournament.
The opening match saw Baloch Club Nushki defeat Afghan Club Chaman 1-0 to make a winning start to the competition.
Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Haji Barkat Rind was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Secretary Sports Dura Baloch, Director General Sports Yasir Bazai and other sports officials and personalities also attended the ceremony.
The winner of the football gold cup will receive a cash prize of Rs3 million, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs1.5 million. The team finishing third will receive Rs500,000.
