Body of Iran’s martyred Supreme Leader transported by helicopter to Qom, where funeral prayers will be held once again today

TEHRAN: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died and that funeral ceremonies have been held in Tehran and are continuing in the holy city of Qom.

In this regard, there are certain unverified news that Ayatollah Khamenei’s body was reportedly transported to Qom by helicopter, where another funeral prayer was expected to take place.

The reports further alleged that an earlier funeral prayer had been offered in Tehran, attracting an exceptionally large gathering of mourners.

In this sense, some of the circulating posts claimed that attendance at the funeral procession ranged between 12 million and 15 million people.

The reports also alleged that satellite imagery had been used to illustrate the scale of the crowd and described the gathering as one of the largest public events in Iran’s history.

The unverified reports further suggested that analysts viewed the alleged funeral procession as a symbol of national unity and resistance following recent regional tensions.

They claimed that such a gathering would send a political message regarding Iran’s resilience and its position on regional and international issues, including its nuclear program and strategic influence over the Strait of Hormuz.

Despite the widespread circulation of these claims online, no official statement has been issued by the Iranian government confirming the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Likewise, reputable international news agencies have not verified the reported funeral ceremonies or the estimated attendance figures.
