ISLAMABAD: It has been revealed that the BBC paid PKR 2.5 million to its representative, Riaz Sohail, in exchange for covering the Hanna Urak sit-in.
Riaz Sohail has been assigned the specific task of building an anti-Pakistan narrative during the protest, prioritizing anti-state news, and running a full-scale campaign against the state.
This reflects a long-standing pattern of the BBC, which consistently uses such occasions to report under a specific agenda while casting journalistic principles aside.
While the BBC claims it lacks the funds to pay its regular local media workers, it has readily provided PKR 2.5 million to Riaz Sohail to conduct this propaganda.
History bears witness that wherever an organization like the BBC becomes active, internal chaos increases.
The outlet not only instigates citizens against the state but also supports armed movements and exploits the deaths of innocent people to fulfill its specific chaotic agenda.
