Balochistan Political Leadership Vows to Defeat Terrorism

QUETTA: The political leadership of Balochistan has strongly reacted to the devastating bomb attack on the Jaffar Express train in Quetta, collectively vowing to unite against terrorist elements linked to the Fitna-al-Hindustan network and bring them to an exemplary end.

In separate statements issued on Monday, various government officials and political figures condemned the targeting of unarmed civilians, women, and children, labeling the incident as a cowardly and inhumane act.

Assault on Humanity and Local Traditions

Member of the Balochistan Assembly (MPA), Meena Majeed Baloch, stated that targeting innocent passengers traveling home for the Eid holidays was a direct assault on humanity. She remarked that the shedding of innocent blood has fully exposed the heinous agendas of India and its regional proxy terrorists to the global community.

Echoing similar sentiments, Member of the National Assembly (MNA), Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani, termed the ambush on defenseless citizens a flagrant violation of human rights, sacred Baloch traditions, and core national values, asserting that the perpetrators deserve no leniency.

Unwavering Support for Security Forces

Senator Dinesh Kumar emphasized that the resilient people of Balochistan stand as an iron wall against terror networks. “Those who spill the blood of innocent citizens have no place on this soil,” Kumar stated, adding that the entire nation is united behind its security forces.

MNA Mian Khan Bugti also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of lives, conveying his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.

Terrorists Lack Religion or Nationality

Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, criticized the attackers for specifically targeting vulnerable populations, including women and children, on the Jaffar Express. He stated that these terrorists possess neither religion nor nationality, acting solely as mercenaries to please their foreign handlers.

Meanwhile, Provincial Advisor for Women’s Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, called the incident a detestable and cowardly act, offering prayers for the swift recovery of the wounded.

The political leadership collectively reaffirmed that the citizens of Balochistan will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement agencies to restore peace, maintain law and order, and safeguard national security.
