ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised nurse Razia Noreen for displaying exceptional courage during the fire incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

The prime minister met Razia Noreen and commended her bravery, dedication and commitment to protecting a vulnerable child during the emergency.

Shehbaz Sharif announced that the nurse would be awarded the Tamgha-e-Khidmat on March 23.

The prime minister also announced a cash reward of Rs10 million for the nurse as an acknowledgment of her services and extraordinary courage.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned the significance of Razia Noreen’s actions during the PIMS fire.

He said that she had put her own life at risk for a noble purpose and succeeded in saving the life of a newborn.

The prime minister expressed hope that Allah Almighty would reward her for her courage and sacrifice.

He also described her actions as a source of pride for the entire nation.

Shehbaz Sharif announced that Razia Noreen would receive the Tamgha-e-Khidmat on March 23. The national recognition is intended to acknowledge her exceptional service and courage demonstrated during the emergency.

The announcement adds official recognition to an incident that has drawn attention to the dedication of healthcare workers who continue to perform their responsibilities under difficult and dangerous circumstances.

Rs10 Million Cash Reward Announced
