Compensation for Balochistan Police Martyrs to Be Increased

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has decided to increase the compensation rates for police martyrs, as well as the cash payments offered in lieu of land or plots.

According to Shahid Rind, Assistant to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Information and Political Affairs, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed the relevant departments to submit a summary for the formal approval of these revised packages.

Under the proposed revisions, the cash compensation for the families of police martyrs from B-1 to B-16—covering ranks from Constable to Inspector—will be raised from 10 million rupees to 12.5 million rupees.

Furthermore, for Constables and Head Constables (B-1 to B-8), the recommended cash payment in exchange for a plot or land has been increased from 1.1 million rupees to 2.5 million rupees.

Shahid Rind stated that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti considers the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism to be the pride of the nation, emphasizing that providing financial support and welfare to their families is a primary responsibility of the government. These measures reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to supporting the families of martyrs through practical initiatives and improved welfare policies.
