Balochistan Launches Historic e-Domicile System to Curb Fake Certificates

NADRA Balochistan hosts live E-Kacheri to address public issues

QUETTA : In a landmark move to digitize public services, the Balochistan government has introduced the e-Domicile and e-Local Certificate system for the first time in the province’s history. Under the new framework, the entire process of issuing domicile and local certificates will be carried out through a modern, transparent, and fully digital system.

Assistant Chief Minister for Information and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, announced that the reform project has been formally launched on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti. In this regard, the Balochistan Home Department has issued an official notification for the implementation of the Integrated Domicile Management System (IDMS), developed in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

Speaking to the media, Rind explained that once the system becomes fully functional, citizens of Balochistan will be able to apply for e-Domicile and e-Local Certificates through any NADRA center, Deputy Commissioner’s office, or the Pak-ID platform across Pakistan. He emphasized that the initiative will save the public from unnecessary difficulties, prolonged delays, the interference of middlemen, and the issuance of fake and forged certificates.

“This modern system will ensure the accuracy, security, and easy accessibility of citizens’ data,” Rind stated. He added that government departments and law enforcement agencies will now have access to a verifiable, secure, and province-wide integrated database, which will significantly enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen security systems across Balochistan.

Rind reiterated that the Balochistan government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, is committed to taking practical steps to make public services digital, transparent, and user-friendly. “The e-Domicile and e-Local Certificate systems are an important link in this vision,” he concluded, expressing confidence that the reform will bring lasting relief to the people of the province.
