Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for more rain and hail across several parts of the country.
According to the NDMA spokesperson, rain and hail are expected in Punjab and northern regions on 17 and 18 April. Western parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan are also likely to receive rain accompanied by hail.
The authority forecasts heavy rainfall in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while scattered rain is expected in Islamabad and several districts of Punjab.
Thunderstorms with strong winds and rain are also predicted in different areas of Balochistan.
Citizens have been advised to take necessary precautionary measures.
