Rain and snow forecast across Pakistan

LAHORE: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in various parts of the country and snowfall in upper regions over the next few days.

Weather experts forecast rainfall in Punjab and Islamabad from April 6 to 9, including Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, and Sheikhupura.

A new wave of western winds is expected to enter western districts of Balochistan on the evening of April 5 and will likely affect upper regions until April 9.

Rain is expected in Balochistan areas including Panjgur, Gwadar, Pasni, Turbat, Khuzdar, Qalat, Quetta, and Zhob from April 5 to 7.

Rainfall is also likely in Barkhan, Lasbela, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and other areas.

In Sindh, thunderstorms with rain are forecast on April 6 in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Jacobabad, and Shikarpur.

Rain accompanied by snowfall is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan districts of Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar, and Ghizer.

Similar conditions with rain and snow are predicted in parts of Azad Kashmir including Bagh, Rawalakot, and Neelum Valley.
