ANGOOR ADDA: Afghan forces carried out unprovoked firing and shelling on civilian populations in the border area of Angoor Adda, South Waziristan District, on April 26 and 29, 2026, resulting in tragic loss of life and property, local authorities confirmed.

 

During the two separate incidents, several houses were destroyed, and eight people — including children and women — sustained serious injuries. No fatalities have been reported so far.

 

The district administration shifted the injured to Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar for better treatment and advanced care after providing initial medical attention.

 

Local residents and tribal elders have expressed deep concern and regret over the attacks. They demanded that the unprovoked firing and shelling from across the Afghan border be stopped immediately.

 

The district administration of South Waziristan Lower is continuously monitoring the situation. Officials said steps are being taken to provide timely medical assistance to the injured as well as all possible financial support to the affected families. The district government has expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to those impacted.

 

Additionally, authorities stated that all possible measures are being taken to ensure the life and financial safety of the local population along the border.
