ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar and DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry briefed political leaders on national security issues in an in-camera session.
The session was held in wake of tensions between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam false flag operation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
DG ISPR informed the leaders of the political parties about the preparations of the Pakistan Army, adding that Pakistan is a peaceful country and wants peace in the region, but if aggression is imposed, the Pakistani forces are ready to give a befitting reply to the enemy.

Information Minister Atta Tarar also informed the political leaders about the government’s diplomatic measures and state stance. A large number of leaders of the government alliance participated in the background briefing, while the PTI boycotted the briefing.
