ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the provision of financial assistance to rain-affected families across Pakistan, as authorities continue relief and rehabilitation efforts in areas hit by the ongoing monsoon weather.
The prime minister issued the directives during a meeting held to review the damage caused by recent rainfall.
The government has been instructed to accelerate assistance for communities facing difficulties following heavy rains and flooding.
Federal Officials Directed to Visit Affected Areas
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed federal ministers and secretaries to visit affected areas and oversee rehabilitation efforts.
He stressed the need for relief activities to be carried out efficiently so that assistance reaches affected communities without unnecessary delays. The prime minister also instructed authorities to ensure the early delivery of food supplies and other essential relief items to families affected by the disaster.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also ordered the immediate rehabilitation of houses and basic infrastructure damaged by rains and flooding.
