QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has established a formal judicial inquiry commission to investigate the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Pumping Station in District Ziarat, which resulted in the tragic loss of precious lives of police personnel.
Following consultations with the Honorable Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan, the government has nominated Honorable Justice Muhammad Amir Nawaz Rana Sahib as the head of the Commission of Inquiry. The distinguished judge has been entrusted with conducting a thorough judicial investigation into the incident that shook the region.
Immediately upon assuming responsibilities, the Commission of Inquiry commenced formal proceedings and appointed Malik Shoaib Sultan as the Registrar/Secretary of the Commission. The office has been established within the premises of the High Court of Balochistan in Quetta to facilitate the inquiry process.
Public Notice Issued
The Commission has issued a public notice inviting all concerned individuals, institutions, and security agencies to come forward with any necessary evidence that could assist in the investigation. The commission has set August 28, 2026, as the deadline for submissions.
In an effort to ensure transparency and gather comprehensive information, the Commission has called upon anyone possessing information about the attack to personally appear at the office of the Registrar/Secretary. Individuals are required to submit their complete details including:
· Full name and complete personal information
· Current and permanent residential addresses
· Contact numbers
· Copy of valid identity card
The information and documents provided will be presented before the Honorable Commission of Inquiry and will be instrumental in advancing the judicial investigation proceedings.
The Commission has emphasized that all sbmissions will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will contribute significantly to uncovering the facts behind the tragic incident that claimed the lives of brave police personnel serving the nation.
