Senator Abid Sher Ali Remarries Years After First Wife’s Passing

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Abid Sher Ali has entered into a second marriage, with the solemnization ceremony held in the federal capital on Wednesday evening.

 

The wedding reception and rituals took place at a local hotel in Islamabad, drawing close family members and political associates. The Senator’s father, veteran PML-N leader Chaudhry Sher Ali, along with his brothers and other immediate relatives, were present to bless the couple on their new journey.

 

According to family sources, the bride hails from a well-regarded family based in Haripur, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The event was kept largely private, reflecting the family’s wish for a modest and intimate celebration.

 

Senator Abid Sher Ali, who has previously served as the Minister of State for Power and Petroleum, was widowed a few years ago when his first wife passed away after a prolonged illness. His remarriage has been widely noted as a personal milestone, with party colleagues and supporters extending their warm wishes to the Senator and his new spouse.

 

No official statement has been issued by the Senator’s office regarding the wedding, but close aides confirmed that the ceremony concluded peacefully with prayers for the couple’s future happiness.
