Kia has increased prices for its hybrid vehicle lineup in Pakistan by up to Rs1.2 million. The increase follows a higher sales tax on hybrid vehicles.
The price hike affects the Kia Sportage L and Sorento hybrid variants. The revised prices reflect the higher tax burden rather than a manufacturer-driven increase, according to the information provided.
Kia Sportage L price in Pakistan
The Kia Sportage L hybrid variants have become more expensive following the increase in sales tax on hybrid vehicles. The Sportage L 1.6T FWD HEV now costs Rs12.199 million, up Rs900,000 from Rs11.299 million, while the 1.6T AWD HEV is priced at Rs13.299 million, after an increase of Rs1.059 million.
The Kia Sorento 1.6T FWD HEV is now priced at Rs16.299 million. The variant previously cost Rs15.299 million, marking a Rs1 million increase.
The Sorento 1.6T AWD HEV has recorded the biggest increase among variants with a comparable previous price. Its price has risen by Rs1.2 million, from Rs16.699 million to Rs17.899 million.
Kia has also listed the Sorento 1.6T AWD PHEV at Rs18.999 million. No previous price was provided for this variant.

The price revisions follow an increase in the sales tax on hybrid vehicles to 25%. The previous rates stood at 8.5% or 12.75%, according to the information provided.
